Meet Our Teachers
Mrs. Adams is our Preppy Kindergarten teacher. She has over 20 years experience in the elementary and preschool classroom. Mrs. Adams has an early childhood development certificate and is best known for an organized and structured classroom. Her students always leave Preppy K ready to start their Kindergarten year.
Mrs. Osborne is our Elementary Supervisor as well as our part-time Kindergarten teacher. She has a Master's of Education and over 30 years of teaching experience. She is known for the nurturing environment she creates within her classroom. Many students of Mrs. Osborne have grown up and now have their children in her class.
Mrs. Melton is our 1st-grade teacher. She has over 24 years of teaching experience and has taught every grade level. She holds an Arizona teaching credential as well as a Clear California teaching credential with CLAD certification. Mrs. Melton is known for her musical talents and can often be seen helping out during our Christmas programs and Chapels.
Mrs. White is our 2nd-grade teacher. She comes to us all the way from the "windy city" Chicago, Illinois. Having a military spouse, she has taught all over the country. We are blessed that the Lord has brought her here to Bethel. Mrs. White has over 30 years teaching experience at the Pre-K through 2nd-grade levels. She is known for her school spirit. You can spot her at most Warrior games throughout the school year!
Ms. Lamons has been the 3rd-grade teacher at Bethel for two years and has over 16 years of teaching experience. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, Master's of Curriculum and Instruction, and Clear California Teaching Credential with an emphasis in Reading. She is known for having a classroom enhanced by her artistic talents.
Ms. Velasco is our 4th- grade teacher. Originally from the Philippines, she completed most of her education in the states, including her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Velasco also has six years of teaching experience. She is best known for her love of traveling and has been known to take summer classes in other states "just for fun."
Mrs. Yonkers is our 5th-grade teacher, having over 40 years of teaching experience across all grade levels K-12. Native to Orange County, Mrs. Yonkers graduated from Mater Dei High School and went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies, a Teaching certificate in Technology, and a lifetime California Teaching Credential. Mrs. Yonkers is best known for her love of Science and Math. Her students love the hands-on projects she provides in the classroom.
Ms. Vilander is our 6th-grade teacher. She has a Bachelor's degree in finance as well as her California CLEAR teaching credential. She is currently working on a second teaching credential in Special Education. Ms. Vilander has four years of teaching experience and additional years as a substitute teacher in Westminster School District. She is known for her technology-based classroom. Students leave 6th grade well prepared to enter their middle school years.
